Tom Harris' Deceitful Claims About Fossil Fuel Association

Tom Harris, the paid shill of the fossil fuel industry, continually denies he is, or ever has been, associated with either the fossil fuel or tobacco industries. His favorite tactic is to simply not answer the question, figuring he can't then be held accountable for his statement. Unfortunately, it doesn't work that way. When repeatedly being asked a direct answer, not answering the question is very suspect. In Harris' case, it is damning because the Internet is full of evidence that Harris has ties to both. While he may think it is a clever piece of hiding the facts by refusing to answer the question, he has been at the game for too long to get away with it. He stated in the Augusta Free Press (reproduced on the blog Mothers Against Wind Turbines), "I have never been "funded by the fossil fuel industry."" That is a pretty definitive statement.

This page has been saved for posterity in case Harris succeeds in getting it removed.

In second bullet Harris states he has never been funded by the fossil fuel industry.

Also note the second bullet where he states, "I have never denied that “greenhouse gases are contributing to our warming planet.”" Of course, he has a long history of saying exactly that.

Meanwhile, here is an exchange that took place on my blog post, What if Climate Change is Real?. Unlike other blogs, Harris is not able to flag the APCO page and have it removed. It's there for anyone to see and will remain.

You have indeed been paid by fossil fuel industries. Your bio on the APCO site, which has of course since been removed, reveals your working relationships with oil, gas and coal clients. See below:
“Mr. Harris has worked with private companies and trade associations to successfully position these entities and their interests with media and before various government committees and regulatory bodies.
Specifically, he has worked with oil and gas, coal, nuclear, environmental and aerospace clients for whom he has conducted effective media and public relations campaigns.”
Your APCO bio reveals that you have been blatantly lying about not being paid by fossil fuel industries.

Whoops! His employer categorically stated he worked with the fossil fuel industry while he has stated that he never did. That would explain why he keeps flagging this information in an effort to get is censored. It seems to me his past employer is saying Harris is not being truthful in his statements. But, of course, if you're familiar with Harris, you know this is neither new nor isolated.
